Tragedy
As an aspiring journalist, I’ve always been quite tuned in to the world around me. But recently I took an internship with a local newspaper which has caused me to see up close some of the sad things I used to just read in the news. A local father unexpectedly found slumped over in his car after being brutally stabbed in his own front yard, a women who lost hundred of thousands of dollars to a boyfriend who mislead her… the list goes on. It’s caused to me to question lately, what would I do in the face of tragedy? I know that I have a great God above me who loves and cares about me and those around me, but I also know that this world is not perfect and we suffer sometimes in part to remember that there is one who is greater than this world. But I have to be completely honest, although I know in the end Jesus will get me through… tragedy still terrifies me…
